We are looking to recruit a motivated and passionate individual to build and manage our fund raising strategy, increase our income and make us stand out from the crowd.

Location: GlobalGiving UK, Elizabeth House, 39 York Road, London, SE1 7NQ, UK
Role: 22.5 - 30 hours per week. (We are open to some flexible/remote working)
Contract: Contract offered until 31st March 2014, with possibility of extension
Gross Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 pro rata (depending on experience and working hours)
Reporting to: Chief Executive

Fundraising Officer: Key Responsibilities


  •     Ensuring that fundraising income targets are achieved
  •     Identifying and researching potential donors: screening their funding criteria, researching who they make grants to, making contact in the form of preliminary enquiries
  •     Writing and submitting funding proposals and applications to trusts and grant-making bodies
  •     Devising, developing and implementing a corporate fund raising strategy
  •     Developing strong relationships with individual donors
  •     Recruiting new corporate partners
  •     Coordinating Volunteers
  •     Undertake other duties as required to ensure the proper functioning of the team

Skills and Experience
  •     A track record which demonstrates the ability to raise significant funds from trusts, corporate and individual donors.
  •     A track record which demonstrates the ability to strategically plan fund raising activity and achieve income targets.
  •     Successful experience of managing donor relationships.
  •     Successful experience of delivering presentations and public speaking.
  •     Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as negotiation skills.
  •     Proven ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  •     Excellent IT skills (please note we are a digital charity).
  •     Excellent time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  •     Good leadership skills with the potential for further development.
  •     Dedication, motivation, drive, ambition, and commitment to the job at hand.
  •     Previous experience working with/managing volunteers an advantage
